You will agree with us – college days are busy and stressful.
Back to back assignments, and assessments keep all of us busy that we often forgot to eat healthily.
What’s more, a lot of us even tend to compromise between eating and sleeping.
Get a hold on your life, and give your health the topmost priority.
Here is how you can manage your time and change your lifestyle and indeed stay fit and healthy even on the busiest of days.
- Cook in abundance
Let’s admit: you are not busy 30 days a month. There are some days when you are relaxed, use this to your advantage. Dedicate more time in cooking food that could be kept for days when you are too busy to cook for yourself. You can start off with soup. You can also choose to freeze foods in the refrigerator such as bananas, kale, red grapes, and others.
- Avoid energy drinks
Avoid energy drinks over drinking water, tea or coffee . Thinking why? Well, these energy drinks are more about calories and less about actual energy content. It would be better if you take help of cold water, tea or coffee to wake yourself up in the morning and drink juices during other parts of the day to keep yourself hydrated.
- Pack snacks for the day
By snacks, we mean the healthy ones. Instead of buying unhealthy stuff like chips, switch to smarter snacks like pretzels, fruits, dry cereal, or dry fruits and like. They will actually keep you energized. Bonus: they are also healthy for your skin.
- Don’t forget to devote time to exercise
Exercising is the most neglected task when you are running late. Treat exercise as a gift for your body. Prefer walking down the path instead of driving. Also, some intensive exercising can build up your body stamina and strengthen your muscles. If you purposely set a specific time for exercise each day, you are more likely to take out time for it.
- Eat just enough
Eat enough and don’t let yourself starve purposely. On the other hand, eating enough does not mean overeating. Eat as much as your body requires to stay healthy and active.
If you are eating healthy and exercising up to the mark, don’t stress about your body shape. Give your body the nutrients it needs. Be comfortable in who you are as long as you are fit and healthy.
- Reward yourself
The best motivation factor that keeps you going is rewarding yourself in return for your achievements despite too big or small. Even if you have a big day the next day, relax the day before to de-stress yourself by going out with friends.
- Don’t take things to heart
Don’t overthink and stress yourself out over insignificant things. This can affect your performance and health. Always be light-hearted and enjoy life wholeheartedly.
- Take naps
Naps are magical potions that can keep you bright when you can’t get a good night’s sleep. They can make you feel more refreshed and help you in tackling your daily responsibilities easily. Trust us on this!
These were some of the tips you can accommodate to make your busy college days feel light for you.
