To back you up, here are a few simple recipes to super delicious cocktail recipes that will help you beat the heat in style!
This is one of the most classic summer cocktails that you can easily make. All you need to do is squeeze 0.5 oz. of lemon juice in a shaker and then add half a teaspoon of very fine, powdered sugar, before finally adding 2 oz. of white rum and some cracked ice. Shake vigorously and then strain and pour it in a cocktail glass.
Stimulating and bittersweet; this cocktail is a delightful drink and perfect for a warm day. Add 1.5 oz. of mezcal, 0.5 oz. of dry vermouth and the same amount of sweet vermouth, with 0.5 oz. of Campari and a dash of Angostura bitters over some ice in a decorative vintage cocktail glass and stir. You can also garnish with a grapefruit twist and wipe the rim of the glass with a lemon rind.
- Pear Mojito
It might seem a bit fancy with several ingredients, but this fruity mojito is great for a summer’s day. To make a pear mojito, you will need 1.5 oz. of Mount Gay Black Barrel rum, 0.75 oz. of simple syrup and the same amount of fresh lemon juice, 1 oz. of Ambient pear puree, few mint leaves, and club soda.
For this particular cocktail, use a highball glass and place the mint leaves, gently pressing with a muddler. Add the rum, lemon juice, syrup and the puree, one after the other. Now pour it into a shaker and shake well. Before pouring the drink back into the glass, add the club soda. You can use some fresh mint leaves to garnish.
- Basil Gimlet
Before you start whipping this drink, make sure you place the cocktail glass in the freezer. Now, once that is out of the way, add 2 oz. botanist gin, 0.5 simple syrup, few basil leaves, and 0.75 lime juice, freshly squeezed, in a shaker and shake well. Strain the drink and pour it into the chilled glass. Place a couple of basil leaves on the top.
Well, if there is any cocktail drink that you can never go wrong with, whether in a brunch or an evening party, then a margarita is definitely it! You will need 2 oz. of silver tequila, 1 oz. of Cointreau, some coarse salt and 1 oz. of lemon juice.
Add the tequila, Cointreau, and lemon juice with some ice in a shaker and shake thoroughly. Take a chilled cocktail glass and spread lemon juice all over its rim, before pressing it in coarse salt. Strain and pour the drink, over some ice.
